Unbelief

This week when I was doing a devotional, I came across the topic of unbelief and it got me thinking.

If you are a Christian, then you obviously already believe in God and that he sent Jesus to die for our sins. There is no doubting that. BUT, when was the last time you really believed God’s promises for you and what He thinks of you?

It’s easy to believe everything God has for us when life is going great. What happens when we suddenly receive some bad news or are hurt by someone and suddenly all we feel is self-doubt?

Going through infertility these past few years has really played with my emotions and at times I will admit I have had unbelief. I have had doubts about us conceiving, and at some low moments throughout this journey, I’ve even doubted myself and my capability of being a parent. “Maybe there is a reason I’m not a mother to a child now, could I even raise a child? I can barely keep my plants alive…”

I’m not sure what you’re dealing with, but the best thing to do in these times of unbelief is to run to God. Sometimes it’s so easy to think you need to deal with this unbelief on your own, and you’ll talk to Him again when you feel better, but God wants the opposite. God can supply all of our needs, and I think He would appreciate an honest plea of unbelief than to have His child just getting by and “faking it”. It’s important to address the strongholds in our lives, and God can surely break those strongholds if we let Him.

I encourage you today to ask yourself if you have any areas of your life where you are experiencing unbelief or doubt. Take it to God and let’s turn our thinking around, together!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a great weekend! 🙂
